I am an ecologist with a keen interest in wildlife welfare, conservation genetics, humane education, and animal ethics.

Currently, I am affiliated with the Environmental Sciences and Humanities Institute at the University of Fribourg and the Animalfree Research foundation in Switzerland. 

My scientific training included a PhD from the Institute of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Bern and postdoctoral research fellowships at the Centre for Compassionate Conservation at the University of Technology Sydney and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Basel. 

Driven by a passion for innovation, efficacy, and responsibility in research, I have created the informational website 3RsWildlife.info. This is the first online resource of its kind providing guidance on implementing the 3Rs principles of responsible animal use specifically for researchers working with wildlife.
